Available from 13th June 2022 to 11th July 2022

We simply could not do all that we do without our inspiring, passionate and caring team of volunteers. Our dedicated volunteers offer practical and emotional support to our patients, providing a helping hand for our staff and a friendly face for our visitors. They are able to support the hospital in a number of ways from welcoming and directing visitors, giving out refreshments on the wards or chatting to patients.

We are inviting applications to support the Chaplains in the work of Spiritual and Pastoral Care and to feed back any particular areas of concern or need for a Chaplain to respond to any individual. We are available for any patient, whether or not they hold a religious faith, not to proselytize but to come alongside at whatever point of need they choose to reveal. We welcome applicants who have good listening skills, a non-judgmental attitude, and respect for the diversity of patients served by the NHS.

What’s in it for you? You’ll make new friends, meet and work with new people from all walks of life, learn new skills and gain new experience. Our volunteers tell us they feel more confident and happy by giving back and helping others.
